Astrophysics is the largest branch of astronomy, which investigates the structure of the universe and almost all physical and chemical processes taking place in it. Astrophysics is an experimental and theoretical study of the structure of stars and circumstellar shells, interstellar medium, corpuscular and electromagnetic (radio, thermal, optical, X-ray and gamma) radiation of planets, the Sun, stars and galaxies, movement of star systems and development of cosmogeneous models.

Sun is one of the most interesting objects of studying: its structure and processes occurring on it give the possibility to solve common problems of astrophysics.

Students attending the course of "Astrophysics" will have the opportunity to learn more about the basic physical and chemical properties of celestial bodies and their systems, processes that occur on the scale of the universe. Besides there will be described physical processes on the Sun, which are known to be virtually independent of external influences and are conditional on solely internal regularities.

Language of the course - English.
