Nowadays operational research is one of the most actual and rapidly developing fields of contemporary mathematics. In the modern sense of the term, operational research is an extensive area that corresponds to complex of quantitative methods used for finding and justification of optimal decisions in all spheres of human activity. Operational research is used extensively in economics, industry, social science, and other areas.
Summer School students will get acquainted with advanced researches and breakthroughs in contemporary operational research within the OR-stream. Application of its methods in the areas of finance, logistics, and social systems will be considered in particular. Besides, some courses will be devoted to the game theory methods and experimental economy.
Leading European scientists, members of The Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO) are invited to AACIMP-2011 as tutors of the OR-stream.
Courses of the OR-Stream:
- Game Theory and Experimental Economics
- Mathematical Finance
- Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Large Databases
Lectures:
- Integer and Combinatorial Optimization
- Clique Relaxation Models in Networks: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications
