Energy Efficient Renovation and operation of buildings. A short introduction

The European Union directives on energy conservation in buildings are expected to initiate an extensive transformation of the existing building stock. In Sweden most of the buildings stock has been built before 1975. This represents challenges and opportunities on energy efficient renovation.
Most companies are interested in renovation that is both energy efficient and cost effective.
The goal with this course is to provide the student with information about best practices in Sweden as well as challenges and opportunities in renovation within the Research School Reesbe.

Curriculum Vitae: Ricardo is a civil engineer with a master of science in Sustainable Technology. He have a wide experience from different industries and he worked the last two years as an environmental consultant in Mexico City. Nowadays Ricardo is part of the Research School Reesbe (Resource Efficient Energy Systems in the Built Environment) in Sweden and his project is focused on Energy Efficiency in Multifamily dwellings.
