The Summer School provides following one-time catering option during the project period:

• only lunch, price – 65 € (for 14 days).
• 3 meals per day, price – 130 € (for 14 days).

The meals will be served in the restaurant “Domashnya kuhnya” (Home cuisine), that is situated just a few minute walk from the KPI campus.

Restaurant’s menu is base on every day food ration of modern kyivan. The assortment consists of 120 dishes. The concept of the restaurant “Domashnya kuhnya” is moderate prices and delicious dishes, as at home. It is also worth mentioning that the restaurant specializes not specifically on Ukrainian cuisine, but offers food of different world countries.

In addition to this, there is a number of vegetarian dishes in the restaurant’s menu, that makes it possible to form an individual menu for those participants who prefer vegetarian food.

For foreign participants

The Summer School arranges housing for its foreign participants.

We offer the following options:

• the KPI dormitory room:

• 3-4 persons in a room;

• the KPI student appartments:

• 2-3 persons in a room;
• kitchen is available.

Both of them are located at the university campus. It is easy accessible to the academic building where the Summer School is held. To book a bed in the dormitory or student appartment, please, indicate this option in the corresponding part of the application form. Thus the accommodation will be automatically booked on the term you specifiedif there are free places available (the number of places in KPI student appartments is limited that is why in the case there are no free places to accomodate you accordingly to the option you choose, you will be informed about that in advance and proposed to choose another one). The confirmation of your reservation will be send by e-mail.

Participants in very basic will be accommodated in the three­bed or fourbed dormitory rooms. To book a room (3-4 beds) or another number of rooms in the dormitory, send an e­mail request to the Organizing Committee.

How to pay for the accommodation?

• the KPI dormitory room:

• The accommodation cost is €10 per day for one place.
• The total cost (15 days) is €150 for one place.

• the KPI student appartments:

• The accommodation cost is €20 per day for one place.
• The total cost (15 days) is €300 for one place.

Payment is made in cash upon the registration (August 2).

The information on whether your country has visa-free movement regime with Ukraine is available on the site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. For citizens of CIS and European Union Ukrainian visa is not required.

Visa support

If you need an official letter of invitation to the Summer School for obtaining a visa to Ukraine, please, send the request to the Organizing Committee containing following information:

1. Personal data:

   • full name;
   • date of birth;
   • number of your international passport;
   • date, place of issue and expiry date of the passport;
   • the scanned first page of your passport.

2. Additionally:

   • indicate the period on which you would like to stay in Ukraine;
   • current post address for the official invitation to be sent (if the original invitation is needed);
   • e-mail and fax number.

By Air

Boryspil (the only Kyiv international airport) is 40 minutes away from Kyiv. There are regular buses from the airport to Vokzalna metro station in Kyiv (3 Euro). From there you may travel by subway one stop to the Polytechnic institute station (the fare is 2.00 UAH – approximately 0,2 Euro). Or you can take a taxi from airport to KPI which will cost approximately 25 Euro.

By Rail

Kyiv Central railway station is one stop away from the Polytechnic institute metro station, where KPI campus is located. You may find detailed information about trains from different sities of Ukraine to Kyiv on the site.

There are also international trains to Kyiv. You may find out the information on the trains departing from you city to Kyiv on sites of local carriers in your country.

By Bus

There are numerous buses coming from different cities of Europe and CIS to Kyiv. The bus station is situated in the south part of the city. You may get from the bus station to KPI by taxi (approximate price - 5-6 €) or by subway from Lybidska station.
