On August 1, 1898, Kyiv polytechnic institute was unveiled. Then it consisted of four departments: mechanical, engineering, agricultural, and chemical. Later on, the new studying buildings were risen, the new faculties were opened and the new projects were implemented. The branch departments were established in the other towns and numerous institutes became separate. Meanwhile, the students got high-quality and up-to-date education, appropriate for the currents needs. By the President’s decree on April 8, 1995, KPI was granted the status of the National University. Today, Kyiv Polytechnics is the biggest technical university of Ukraine, graduating the best specialists from all over the country who make up the basis for the contemporary scientific research. On the demand “KPI” Google shows about 444 000 results. These are the sites of the faculties, students’ clubs and associations, forums, articles, and scientific and cultural events’ announcements. Development of the University goes on, the new departments and faculties are being created. KPI is also acknowledged to be one if the best institutions for the humanitarian education, in the realms of sociologists’, managers’, economists’, and translators’ training. Summer School organized by the Students’ Science Association of NTUU “KPI” has no analogues in Ukraine. The best scientists from Ukraine and abroad were invited to lecture, and the students can get a huge amount of European-level knowledge in the short time. Holding such activities strengthens the high scientific status of KPI and its students’ and professors’ aspiration for developments and perfection. |
